PlayIt is run by Peacro Technologies Africa (Pvt) Ltd, 103 Duiker Drive, Rochdale, Nyanga, Zimbabwe. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: playit@peacro.africa.

What we collect

• Listeners on WhatsApp: your WhatsApp number and the first name on your WhatsApp profile, the songs you look up, play and rate, and any premium purchase.
• Visitors to this website: a random ID stored in a small cookie (called "pv") that lets us count page views once per visit and remember your like or dislike. It holds no personal details. If you comment, we keep the name you type, your comment and a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address to stop spam.
• Event guests: the name and WhatsApp number you give when you reserve or buy a ticket.
• Artists: the profile details you or your PlayIt agent give us (name, phone, email, location, photo, bio, links), your songs and covers, and your earnings.
• Payments: payments are handled by Peacro Pay. We receive the reference, amount and what the payment was for. We do not see your card or mobile-wallet PIN.

How we use it

• To deliver songs, tickets and purchases, and to keep the service working and safe.
• To show artists how their music is doing: play counts, page views, likes and comments.
• To let an artist say thank you. An artist can see the first name and WhatsApp number of listeners who played their song, and may send one thank-you message. To stop this, send "stop thanks" to PlayIt on WhatsApp and your number is hidden from artists.
• To pay artists and agents, and to meet legal and accounting duties.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not give your number to advertisers. Artists and agents may not share listener numbers or use them for promotions.

Who can see what

Artist profiles, songs, public comments and event pages are public. Your WhatsApp number is never shown on the website. A guest list shows an artist only the names of people who booked their event.

How long we keep it

We keep listening and sales records while the service runs and for as long as the law requires for accounts. Website visit records are cleared within days. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop us contacting you, by emailing playit@peacro.africa from the number or address you used. You can block the cookie in your browser; likes and comments may then not work.

Security and children

We protect songs, accounts and records with access controls and passwords that are stored in scrambled form. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at once if you think something is wrong. PlayIt is not aimed at children under 13, and artists under 18 need a parent or guardian to agree for them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Continuing to use PlayIt after a change means you accept it.
